Policies

The peak season is April through to October. Please note we have a MINIMUM TWO NIGHTS Booking.  Major Public Holidays are a MINIMUM 3 NIGHT BOOKING. (New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)

Guest who book a two Night stay over major holidays will be charged an additional $100 plus tax.

By renting the Cabin(s) you agree to be bound by and enter into as of the date of your reservation, the terms of this Policy agreement; 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please be aware that cancellations at short notice and no show  impact our business and interferes with others who may want to enjoy our facilities. Guests will receive  a 50% refund of the total cost for cancellations 4 (four) weeks before check in date. We do not refund cancellations made at short notice.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:  Full payment is required on booking.  All major Credit Cards are accepted. Cash is accepted at check in for bookings made a few days before or on the day of the booking.  Payments by check must have cleared at least 14 days prior to arrival.

 TELEPHONES;  Complimentary WiFi is available

NO SMOKING AND NO PETS  allowed in the cabins.  And if this is violated a minimum charge of $200 will be charged for additional cleaning.  Failure to comply with our  "no smoking" and  "no pets" policy may result in eviction and loss of all monies paid.  Smoking is allowed on the porches and grounds where ash trays and sand buckets are provided for your convenience.

STRICTLY NO RECREATION VEHICLES,  MOTORHOMES, TRUCK CAMPER, OR TRAVEL TRAILERS. We do not allow any large vehicles on site. 

CHILDREN are welcome.  Please inform us at booking the number of guests including children and appraised of their ages.  Please notify us ahead of time of any changes. We must insist that the number of guests does not increase after booking and without informing us prior to arrival. 

OCCUPANCY:  Guest agrees that no more than the maximum guests of 6 persons shall be permitted on the property at any time during the Rental Term, all of whom shall comply with the conditions and restrictions imposed upon Guest under this Policy.

The Cabins have one King bed and two twin beds on the  upper floor and one queen bed on the lower floor.  Sleeping on sofas is not allowed. Cabin capacity is restricted to:

CABIN ONE: A maximum of 6 guests including children .  

CABIN TWO: A maximum of 6 guests including children.  

Please note on occasion and at our sole discretion we may allow one additional guest making a total of 7 guests per cabin, at an additional charge of $50 per night plus tax.  This must be requested and agreed at the time of booking.

DISTURBANCES: Guests shall use the property for residential purposes only and in a careful manner to prevent any damage or loss to the property and keep the property in clean and sanitary condition at all times.  Guest and any additional permitted guests shall refrain from loud noise and shall not disturb, annoy, endanger or inconvenience neighbours, nor shall guest use the property for any immoral, offensive or unlawful purposes, nor violate any law, association rules or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance on or about the property.  Any disturbance resulting in neighborhood complaints, police action, illegal activities, damage to property or furniture will be considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of your stay and all monies paid will be forfeited.   No Hunting, No discharging of firearms.  No Fireworks.

 APPLIANCE OPERABILITY & REPAIR:  All appliances are guaranteed to be in good working order upon your arrival.  However, things do malfunction from time to time and we cannot guarantee air conditioning/heating, appliances, electrical equipment  or other equipment.  We do guarantee that repairs will be made as soon as possible.  

 REFUNDS cannot be made due to failure.  We reserve the right to make repairs as necessary and to enter the property with reasonable notice, or without notice if you cannot be contacted.

PROPERTY CONDITION/DAMAGE DEPOSITS: Late check outs, the cabin and grounds requiring more than usual cleaning or trash left are the common reasons why charges are made to cover damage or theft.  You agree to leave the property in good condition: no physical damage, Cabin and yard neat and tidy, dishes washed, spills wiped up, trash bagged and removed in accordance with our instructions,  etc. By renting a Cabin for your vacation you agree that you are responsible for any damages or thefts and if necessary pursued with police report and via whatever legal means required to recover monies to cover any damage or theft.  You also agree to pay any court costs, legal fees and interest not exceeding 8% in the event legal ramifications become necessary.  The person who reserves, rents and pays for the stay is responsible for all damages that he/she or anyone in their party staying at the cabin causes damage or theft.  Should the Cabin or grounds require more than the usual cleaning.  Guest acknowledges that use of amenities such as fireplaces, decks, BBQ's and the like may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such is at the Guests own risk.   By renting and staying in our vacation cabin you agree to all terms and policies set forth in this document.

RISK OF LOSS AND INDEMNIFICATION: Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal affects and other items brought into the cabin(s) by the guest or their permitted guests and visitors shall be at the sole risk of the guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and the owner and rental agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever.

 Guest hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the owners, rental agent, successors, employees or representatives and contractors from and against any costs, damages, liabilities, claims, legal fees and other actions form any damages, costs attorneys fees incurred by guest, permitted guest visitors or agents, representatives or successors of guest due to any claims relating to destruction of property or injury to persons or loss of life sustained by guest or family and visitors of guest in or about the property and guest expressly agrees to save and hold owner, rental agent, successors, assigns, employees or representatives and contractors harmless in all such cases.

 Guest hereby waives and releases any claims against owner, rental agent, and their successors, assigns, employees or representatives, officially or otherwise for any injuries or death that may be sustained by guest on or near or adjacent to the property, including common facilities, activities or amenities.  Guest agrees to use any such facilities or amenities entirely at the guests own initiative, risk and responsibility.

 Guests agree to hold Owners, rental agent, successors, employees or representatives and contractors free and clear of any liability for damage to self or property, resulting from accident or injury, or loss of enjoyment due to inclement weather, power outages, rain, snow, sun, negligence, defective construction, fire, theft and inoperable appliances, etc.  Owners will take all possible steps to make sure the Cabin equipment is in proper order.

PERSONAL PROPERTY: We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to your belongings while at the rented cabin.  You may wish to check your homeowner's policy, and/or arrange for traveler's or tenants insurance to cover your belongings.

PARKING; Your vehicle is parked at your own risk.  Parking is provided for guests and is off the main road/highway and directly outside each cabin.

CHECK IN/OUT Check-in time is 3.00pm and check-out time is 11.00am.  Check in prior to 3.00pm is subject housekeeping and cabin availability. On occasion we can extend your check out to 12 noon at no extra charge. Check out after 12 noon is charged at $50 per hour. Issued keys should be left on the kitchen counter or placed in the key lock box and locked.  Lost keys will be charged at $10 per key.  If the key(s) are returned within ten days of your departure you will be refunded the $10 per key.  On Check-out please ensure all windows are closed, lights are turned off and the cabin is locked on departure. We are not responsible for items left in the cabin.  However, should you discover you have left a personal possession behind please contact us as soon as possible in order for us to verify the item and attempt/arrange to return this to you.  Any postage/delivery charge will be payable by the guest.

DEFAULT If guests should fail to comply with the conditions and obligations of this Policy, Guest shall surrender the property, remove all guests property and belongings and leave at the Property in good order and free from damage.  No refund of any portion of the total rental fee shall be made and if any legal action is necessary, Star Falls Cabins shall be entitled to reimbursement from the guest for all costs incurred.
